Instructions for use:
Prepare a few logs of the appropriate wood for each species. The wood should be green.
For inoculation, the best time is between 15 days and 2 months after cutting.
Drill holes every 10-15 cm with a 12 mm bit and a 30 mm depth stop (we recommend using our special bits).
Make rows of holes spaced about 10 cm apart to cover the entire perimeter of the trunk.
Wearing gloves, insert the pegs into the holes and use a rubber hammer or mallet to push them in.
Cover the holes with melted, not too hot beeswax. You can use a brush or sponge to apply it.
Seal the ends of the log with plastic wrap. This will prevent the log from losing too much water and promote mycelium growth.
Place the log to incubate in a shady, moist area.
Do not leave it in contact with the ground.
Incubate for 10 months (some species need more time).
You can put the log in a black garbage bag if your climate is dry to ensure good incubation.
